Free Therapy

If your life is feeling like a desert right now and you are wondering whether you might benefit from longer term psychotherapy then often cost can be a barrier to getting the support you need.

I have good news as free therapy is available in various formats. Children and young people can often access support through schools and colleges who have their own counselling services and there are various charities who also offer free support outside of educational institutions such as Childline, call them on 0800 1111.

The NHS also offers no cost support for all ages, although there may be a waiting list to see someone face to face. Lots of NHS trusts now have self-referral online support services and you can find out more by searching local mental health support and adding your county or city to the search term. The Samaritans are there for anyone who needs to talk, not just for those in crisis and you can call as many times as you like on 116 123.

As a result of undertaking further training to gain registration with UKCP I am now able to offer 3 clients a week free therapy in exchange for an agreement to have weekly sessions in person for at least 20 weeks but this can be extended to gain up to 4 years of free therapy. If you feel this is something that would benefit you or someone you know then don’t hesitate to get in touch as there may also be the possibility to have some sessions online.

Don’t let cost be a barrier to getting the help you need!
